The TCS TNW range is a UV-stabilised, needle-punched non-woven geotextile membrane made from 100% polypropylene staple fibres. Designed for civil engineering, landscaping, and construction applications, these membranes provide reliable separation and filtration to extend the lifespan of groundworks and drainage systems.
Practical Uses
- General-purpose separator under site access roads and hardstanding
- Separation and strengthening beneath roadways, car parks, and industrial areas
- Filter surround for French drains and granular drainage blankets
- Prevents intermixing of dissimilar soil layers
- Allows fluid passage while controlling soil particle movement
Benefits
- High tensile strength and elongation for resilience during installation
- Excellent puncture resistance to withstand site conditions
- UV-stabilised for outdoor durability
- Compliant with BS8661:2019 for separation and filtration

FAQs
Which TNW grade should I choose?
Select based on the application’s load and durability needs. TNW1000/1100 suit lighter-duty separation and drainage. TNW1500/2000 are stronger for trafficked areas. TNW3000 is the most robust for heavy-duty separation and puncture protection.
Can these membranes be used under gravel driveways?
Yes, all grades are suitable under gravel or block paving to prevent contamination of the sub-base. Higher grades are recommended for areas with vehicle traffic.
Are they suitable for wrapping drainage pipes or French drains?
Yes, their filtration properties allow water flow while retaining soil particles, preventing clogging.
How should I join membrane sections?
Overlap by at least 300mm for light-duty applications or 500mm for heavy-duty. Use geotextile tape or pegs for secure fixing.
Can they be exposed to sunlight before covering?
All TNW grades are UV-stabilised, but covering soon after installation is best to maximise lifespan.
