TCS Tensar TriAx and InterAx geogrids are advanced stabilisation geogrids designed for demanding construction projects. They provide aggregate confinement and soil stabilisation across highways, haul roads, railways, and other trafficked areas. By improving load distribution and reducing aggregate movement, these geogrids extend pavement life while lowering construction costs and carbon footprint.

The TriAx range (TX150, TX190L) uses a unique triangular aperture structure, while the InterAx range (NX750, NX850, HX165-G) features optimised geometry and advanced material science for next-generation stabilisation performance.

Key Benefits

  • Reduces aggregate layer thickness and associated costs
  • Cuts excavation, waste, and landfill tax costs
  • Improves bearing capacity on weak soils
  • Reduces differential settlement and rutting
  • Extends service life of pavements and platforms
  • Rapid and simple installation, saving time on site
  • Lower carbon footprint and improved sustainability

Applications

  • Highways, car parks, and access roads
  • Crane and piling platforms
  • Rail track beds and embankments
  • Airport aprons and runways
  • Haul roads (temporary or permanent)
  • Coastal defence bunds and flood protection
  • Waste management sites and capping layers
  • Soil capping, reclamation, and weak ground stabilisation

FAQs

What’s the difference between TriAx and InterAx geogrids?

TriAx has a triangular aperture pattern for proven aggregate stabilisation. InterAx is the next-generation version, optimised with advanced material science for even better soil-aggregate interaction.

Do I need to overlap rolls during installation?

Yes. Standard overlaps are 300–600mm, depending on subgrade stiffness and fill type.

Can these geogrids be used with soft ground?

Yes. They are designed for weak subgrades. In very soft soils, thicker aggregate layers or multiple geogrid layers may be required.

Do I need specialist equipment to install?

No. Geogrids are lightweight and can be rolled out by hand. Aggregate should be spread carefully to avoid direct tipping onto the grid.

How long do Tensar geogrids last in the ground?

When covered, they are designed for long-term durability of up to 100 years in normal soil conditions.
