The Envirocrate 100L is a shallow, high-strength soakaway crate designed for sites where excavation depth is restricted. With a compact profile just 100mm high, it’s ideal for use under roof gardens, landscaped areas, podium decks, and car parks. Each unit provides 100 litres of stormwater storage, supporting attenuation and infiltration systems in both residential and commercial settings.
Suitable for shallow installs – just 100mm deep
91% void ratio allows high water storage volume
Handles heavy loads – over 320kN/m² compressive strength
Made in the UK from recycled polypropylene
Stackable and lightweight for easy handling and fast installation
This crate supports SuDS-compliant water management, helping control surface water runoff by storing and slowly releasing rainwater. Use with geotextile membrane for infiltration systems, or a sealed geomembrane layer for water retention and reuse.
100L storage per unit – 10 crates = 1m³ capacity
Lightweight 8kg unit – easy to handle and install
Low dig depth – suitable where space is limited
Works in both attenuation and infiltration setups
Robust lateral strength supports varied ground conditions
1 tonne: 200mm
2 tonnes: 250mm
5 tonnes: 300mm
10 tonnes: 400mm
12 tonnes: 450mm
If selected, each crate is supplied with a 100gsm NW8 non-woven membrane sheet cut to size:
1 crate: 2.25m x 3m (6.75m²)
3 crates: 2.25m x 7m (15.75m²)
6 crates: 2.25m x 13m (29.25m²)
Membrane prevents soil ingress while allowing water to pass through.
Nominal size: 1000mm x 1000mm x 100mm
Storage volume: 100 litres per crate
Unit weight: 8kg
Void ratio: 91%
Compressive strength: >320kN/m²
Lateral strength: >150kN/m²
Material: Recycled polypropylene
Recyclable: Yes, at end of life
Standards: Manufactured to ISO 9001 (UK)
Yes, provided the correct minimum cover depth is maintained. It supports up to 450mm cover for HGV use.
Yes – when wrapped in an impermeable geomembrane, it can store rainwater for reuse in irrigation or greywater applications.
Yes. Use a non-woven geotextile for infiltration, or an impermeable geomembrane for sealed systems.
You’ll need 10 crates to create 1m³ of storage.
No – each crate is lightweight and modular. Installation is straightforward and can often be completed without mechanical lifting.
