EcoGrid

EcoGrid is a specialist in sustainable ground reinforcement and permeable paving systems. Their heavy-duty plastic grids (like E30, S50, E50) form interlocking pavers that stabilize grass, gravel or resin surfaces under load. For instance, EcoGrid E50 is the top-tier grid, “the heavy-duty solution, suitable for all traffic from pedestrian to heavy goods vehicles,” with a load capacity up to 1000 tonnes. It is NATO approved and TUV certified, meaning it’s used on military bases and sensitive sites. All EcoGrid products are designed to be environmentally neutral (non-toxic to soil and water), so they reinforce driveways, parking areas, and hard-standings without harming plant or soil life. The brand’s ethos focuses on durability and green infrastructure – their grids allow grass to grow through, enable permeable paving, and protect against soil compaction in applications from home drives to agricultural fields.

EcoGrid’s range covers a variety of uses. The E40 series is a “universal” medium-duty grid, ideal for car parks, camp sites or pathways up to 20-tonne loads. The flexible S50 grid (5cm deep) is called the equestrian solution, suitable for horse arenas, paddocks and livestock areas with grass fill. The lighter E30 is an economical, pedestrian-grade grid for small gardens or footpaths. EcoGrid systems simplify installation: grids lock together to form a rigid base, which you then fill with gravel, turf or resin-bound stone. These systems reinforce soft ground, improve drainage (underneath the permeable infill), and can even support green roofs or floodplain reinforcement. The company promotes EcoGrid as a patented “leading grid system” for projects demanding sustainable, load-bearing surfaces.
